NetEase Completes its Secondary Listing on HKEx

June 11th, NetEase was secondary listed in Hong Kong, with about HK $ 20.9 billion has been raised.

 

CICC, Credit Suisse, J.P. Morgan were joint sponsors in the deal.

 

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and affiliates, Zhong Lun Law Firm and Maples and Calder (Hong Kong) LLP were legal advisors to issuer on Hong Kong and United States laws, PRC laws and Cayman Islands laws respectively. The Skadden team was led by partners Julie Gao, Christopher Betts, Paloma Wang and Li Haiping; while the Zhong Lun team led by partners Anthony Zhao, William Jia, and John Shen

 

Davis Polk & Wardwell, JunHe LLP were legal advisors to sole sponsor on Hong Kong and U.S. laws and PRC laws respectively. The Davis Polk team was led by partners He Li, James Lin and Chu Yang, meanwhile the JunHe team was led by partners Wang Jiangang, Yu Yongqiang, Yi Yisong and Teng Xiaoyan, with assistance from partner Li Chenliang.

 

PricewaterhouseCoopers was the auditor and reporting accountants in the deal.

 

Founded in 1997, NetEase now has different service sectors comprising online gaming, education, music and e-commerce platform. It was listed on Nasdaq in June 2000.
