New Oriental Completes its Secondary Listing in HKEx

On November 9th, 2020, New Oriental has successfully completed its secondary listing on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, raising a total found of around HK$ 10 billion.

 

Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch and UBS Securities acted as joint sponsors, joint global coordinators, joint bookrunners and joint lead managers.

 

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and affiliates, Tian Yuan Law Firm and Conyers Dill & Pearman acted as the legal advisors to the issuer on Hong Kong and U.S. laws, PRC Laws and Cayman Islands laws respectively. The team of Tian Yuan was led by partners Wu Guanxiong, Zhang Yan and Li Han, meanwhile the team of Conyers was led by Partner Wynne Lau.

 

Herbert Smith Freehills and Jia Yuan Law Offices acted as the legal advisors to the joint sponsors on Hong Kong and U.S. laws and PRC Laws respectively. The team of Herbert Smith Freehills was led by partners Matt Emsley and Zhong Wang, meanwhile the team of Jia Yuan was led by partners Yan Yu, Zhang Wen, Ma Yuntao and Sun Di.

 

Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu acted as the reporting accountants.
