One of Japan's four major law firms, Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu, announced that partners Supasit Boonsanong, Charuwan Charoonchitsathian, along with their team comprising a total of six lawyers, would officially join its Bangkok office starting from September 1.
Supasit Boonsanong specializes in legal matters concerning project financing, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and restructuring, infrastructure, and energy, boasting over 30 years of professional experience. He has provided professional support to numerous leading energy enterprises in areas such as project development, joint ventures, licensing, supply, construction, and financing agreements. Previously, he has worked at APA International Law Office, Chandler & Thong - ek Law Offices Ltd., The Phenomena Ltd., and Tilleke & Gibbins, and also served as the General Counsel of National Petrochemical PLC.
Charuwan Charoonchitsathian's practice areas encompass corporate operations, M&A and restructuring, and she has long been providing regulatory and compliance advice to clients in industries such as renewable energy, fintech, payment systems, over-the-top (OTT) services, the Internet of Things (IoT), technology, media, and telecommunications. Prior to joining Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu, she had worked for several years at Chandler & Thong, Baker & McKenzie, The Phenomena Ltd., and Tilleke & Gibbins.
It is reported that the Bangkok office of Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu, established in 2014, primarily offers professional services to address various legal issues arising during the business operations of Japanese enterprises and other multinational corporations in Thailand. These services cover the establishment of local subsidiaries, joint venture projects, acquisition cases, real estate development cases, infrastructure and energy-related cases, sustainability and compliance-related cases, data protection, technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT), labor issues, dispute resolution, and more. Currently, the office has a total of five partner-level lawyers.
