2025-10-09

Recently, Hogan Lovells announced that the firm’s Hong Kong partner, Owen Chan, has been appointed as the Asia Pacific Managing Partner and will also join its International Management Committee. The position had been held on an interim basis by the firm’s Chief Executive Officer, Miguel Zaldivar, since the former Asia Pacific Managing Partner, Lloyd Parker, stepped down from the role.

Owen Chan has built a strong practice in banking and finance, with a focus on investment and acquisition financing matters for financial institutions, private equity funds, and multinational corporations. He also possesses extensive experience in regulatory compliance and restructuring and insolvency. Following the appointment, he will oversee the firm’s eight offices across Asia, including those in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, Singapore, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Jakarta.

Chan joined Hogan Lovells in 2008 and previously served a six-year term on the firm’s Board as a Director representing the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions.

The appointment took effect on October 1, 2025.
